Updated: Apr 21

Happy New Year! In advance of the 2025 season, we wanted to know: have you ever wondered what happens when the roaring engines of Formula 1 meet the beats of music? From anthems that scream "pole position" to ballads that belong in the gravel trap, we’re diving into the wild, wonderful world of F1-inspired tunes.

Song 1

Song Title and Composer: Franco Colapinto by Josh Weller

Rating: 8/10

This song, a remix of Despacito featuring Franco Colapinto, has attracted many F1 fans on TikTok due to Colapinto’ s very impressive first few races. Whilst a parody, the song gained enough media attention for Sky Sports to use it in a TikTok video, garnering much amusement from fans. Colapinto raced at Williams in the latter half of the 2024 season, and made 9 F1 Grand Prix starts, scoring 5 points. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a drive for 2025, but we are sure that he (and his song!) have impressed enough to gain a drive in the upcoming seasons.

Song 2

Song Title and Composer: 33 Max Verstappen by Carte Blanq and Maxx Power

Rating: 9/10

33 Max Verstappen, more affectionately known as ‘TUTUTUTU Max Verstappen’, was released in September 2023, and almost immediately became synonymous with the dominance shown by Verstappen and Red Bull in that season. The song is extremely catchy, and easy to remember due to the main line being ‘TUTUTUTU Max Verstappen’. It is also an upbeat, celebratory tune, mirroring Verstappen’s own victory parties. In summary, 33 Max Verstappen is the perfect song to honour Verstappen’s victorious 2023 season.

Song 3

Super Max is the unofficial anthem for Verstappen, commonly sung amongst fans, and even Formula 1 drivers. Verstappen himself played it at the party celebrating his first WDC in Abu Dhabi. The song is a tribute to Max Verstappen’s incredible achievements in Formula 1, showcasing his skill and determination. The song itself includes excerpts from race commentary praising Verstappen and follows his journey through Formula 1, with mentions of his wins. Song 4

Song Title and Composer: Let’s Go Lando by PitStop Boys

Rating: 8/10

Let’s Go Lando is another excellent song from the PitStop Boys but focusing on British driver Lando Norris this time. The upbeat tempo and playful tune represent Norris’ own charismatic, joyous personality. The tune ‘s catchiness makes it into a perfect hype song and fosters a sense of community amongst Norris’ fans. The song has recently resurged as Norris has become a serious title contender and gained more fans as a result. Let’s Go Lando perfectly captures Lando Norris’ vibrant personality and unites his growing fan base with its upbeat and infectious energy.

Song 5

Song Title and Composer: AUS 23 by Charles Leclerc

Rating: 9/10

Of course, we can’t have a post about F1 songs without having a song written and performed by an F1 driver, and that is exactly what AUS 23 is. This song reflects on the 2023 Australian Grand Prix, which ended in an unfortunate DNF for Charles Leclerc, the composer of this song. The minor key and sombre melody reflect on the disappointing result from the weekend and emphasise the dismay the Monegasque driver must’ve felt. Fortunately, this year Leclerc had better luck, and came in second place, securing a one-two finish for Ferrari.

Song 6

Song Title and Composer: Lewis Hamilton by Carte Blanq and Maxx Power

Rating: 7/10

Lewis Hamilton was performed by the same people who sung 33 Max Verstappen, and whilst the latter is slightly more popular, this song has been listened to by multiple people wanting to celebrate the achievements of the 7-time world champion. The song includes excerpts from the on-board radio after Hamilton won his 7th title and shows the respect and admiration his fans have for him.
